Dr. Sin-Hyeog Im is a Professor at POSTECH. His academic foundation includes a Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Throughout his career, he has focused on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of immune tolerance, specifically investigating the complex interplay between transcription factors and the gut microbiota. Dr. Im has published over 160 scientific papers in high-impact journals, including Nature Immunology, Immunity, and Nature Communications. His group pioneered the Avatiome™ platform, an innovative technology that unveils the mechanisms behind microbiome-based therapeutics. Dr. Im remains a key figure in advancing research on probiotics.
